Welcome to the Irish Society for Quality and Safety in Healthcare.
The Society is a not-for-profit, charitable, non-governmental organisation. We are dedicated to improving the quality and safety of healthcare, to supporting the development of professionals in healthcare quality through professional education, training and research and to providing a network for those working in or interested in healthcare quality to learn from and share with each other. The society is governed by a multidisciplinary elected council.
The Society has strong collaborative links with a number of national and international partners including the European and International Societies for Quality in Healthcare and the European Pathways Association. ISQSH Launched QSDI
QSDI is an initiative set up by ISQSH to promote quality, safety and dignity in an impartial way in Ireland's health services. Anyone working within healthcare is invited to our QSDI discussion forums which bring key issues in the health services into a public arena. QSDI took place this year in The Royal College of Surgeons and were kindly supported by Hibernian Aviva. Topics of discussion were:
29/04/09 - 'Europe or America..... which direction for health service funding?'
27/05/09 - 'Warehouses or households.... what awaits us in old age?'
24/06/09 - 'Who sets the Health Services Agenda?...providers, patients and the public interest."
